Former World Player of the Year and two-time Rugby World Cup winner, Dan Carter, has collaborated with adidas to release his very own Predator rugby boots.
The legendary playmaker teased the reveal yesterday on his Instagram yesterday, stating he had been working on the project for “a very long time” before releasing images of the final product early this morning.
The boots won’t be on general sale but if you’re in New Zealand, Japan, France, or the UK – you can enter a raffle to win a pair. Although if they were on sale, something tells us they wouldn’t exactly fly off the shelves.
In a tribute to the boots he wore for his 100th Test, the boots are fully gold! A bit much if you ask us. Imagine rocking up for a game on a Sunday morning wearing shiny gold boots? You’d better be one hell of a player! The slagging would be on another level!
“The gold is a tribute to the boots I wore during my 100th test,” Carter wrote on his Instagram.
“Although these boots are special to me keeping them exclusively to myself just doesn’t seem right. There’s such limited stock that they won’t be sold in stores, but we do have enough to gift a few pairs to some adidas Creators Club members. Head to the link in my bio to become a member and to go into the raffle to win. Good luck!”
