This looks nasty.
The Lions got a much needed win this morning over a Crusaders side that came into the game with a flawless 14/14 Super Rugby record this season.
Gatland’s men were much improved, with the halfback combination of Murray and Farrell making all the difference. Murray was a different class today, but owes his teammate Stuart Hogg an apology, after accidentally catching him with an elbow.
Hogg replaced by Anthony Watson after 20 or so minutes with the injury, and after seeing the after effects, it’s easy to see why he failed to come back on. Ouch.
Let’s hope it heals quickly and he’s back out on the field for the Lions in no time.
