Winner take all.
Wales international Gareth Anscombe finally made a decision on his future last week, revealing he will not be heading to England or France next season – but he will be leaving Cardiff Blues.
The mercurial ten will be swapping the blue of Cardiff for the black of Ospreys next season in one of the biggest regional transfers in Welsh history.
But should he be dropped this weekend as Cardiff get set to take on his future team in a massive “winner take all” match? A lot of people think he should.
You see whoever wins this weekend will earn themselves a Champions Cup qualification play-off spot (likely against Scarlets) and it’s probably unfair to but Anscombe in that position.
Imagine there’s seconds left and the 27-year-old has a penalty. Kick it and Cardiff have a shot at Champions Cup qualification. Miss it and there’s no chance he’ll get to play in Europe’s top competition next season.
What would you do? Drop him or let him play?
