Paul O’Connell Picks His Lions XV From Round 2 Of The Six Nations

Former Lions captain Paul O’Connell has picked his Lions XV from round two of the RBS Six Nations.

The legendary lock has gone with an interesting selection, opting to reward Ken Owens with a spot in the starting line-up following his heroics against England as well as opting to slot in Jamie Heaslip in the unfamiliar role of six

Ross Moriarty’s mammoth game against Eddie Jones’ side this past weekend also sees him get a spot in the XV at eight.

A very special British & Irish Lions House of Rugby show – fronted by Sean O'Brien and Alex Goode – will start on June 25 and run for the duration of the Lions Tour. Follow and subscribe to it HERE

O’Connell has also gone for a surprise choice at ten with George Ford in the playmaker role despite both Dan Biggar and Paddy Jackson excelling against England and Italy respectively.
