Not guilty.
Ireland and Ulster playmaker Paddy Jackson appeared in court this morning, and has pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The charges against the outhalf are in relation to an incident that took place in a house in south Belfast in June of 2016.
25-year-old Jackson appeared at Belfast Crown Court early this morning. It’s the first time he’s been formally charges in court since the allegations for arose.
Ireland and Ulster teammate Stuart Olding has also had charges brought against him. The centre is charged with two counts of rape, and will appear in court on Friday.
The IRFU and Ulster Rugby have said that both Jackson and Olding will not play rugby again until the court process concludes.
