One down.
There’s some mixed news emerging on the contract front for Munster Rugby when it comes to two of their star players, Conor Murray and Peter O’Mahony.
There has been plenty of speculation regarding the pair as they enter the twilight years of their careers with both out of contract in the coming months.
The Ireland international duo are currently both contracted by the IRFU, but given their age, it appears Munster will have to largely foot the bill for their contracts this time around.
According to the Irish Times, Murray has agreed a one-year deal with the province, but Ireland captain Peter O’Mahony is yet to agree a deal despite contracts being offered to both by Munster.
What this means for his future remains to be seen, with O’Mahony relinquishing his captaincy at Munster earlier this season.
