Bright future.
Munster’s Alex Wootton has been one of the surprised packages this season after an incredible start. The former Northampton Saints academy player lit up the British & Irish cup last season, and has brought that form into his senior career.
After been given a chance by former boss Rassie Erasmus at the beginning of the season, Johann van Graan surprised us all by starting him against Leicester the weekend, and the Garryowen man didn’t disappoint.
One quick look at his record this season so far, shows by van Graan gave him the nod. He currently tops Munster’s PRO14 charts for tries scored, metres made, carries, clean breaks, defenders beaten and offloads.
