Munster have suffered a double injury blow with news of injuries to Jean Kleyn & Jaco Taute.
Following further consultation with a specialist Jean Kleyn has been ruled out for approximately 8 to 10 weeks after the South African lock sustained a neck injury in last Friday’s Guinness PRO12 encounter against Newport Gwent Dragons.
Jaco Taute’s injury however, isn’t as bad as initially feared as he continues to rehab a shoulder injury he sustained in the same game, requiring further rest and recovery over the next week or so.
Taute will miss this weekend’s crucial game with the Ospreys but should be back in time for either the clash with the Scarlets at Thomond Park on the 24th of February, or the Cardiff Blues clash on the 4th March.
Kleyn however will now miss Munster’s quarter final clash with Toulouse in April.
