Munster could be set to raid Connacht as they look to replace the outgoing Simon Zebo, with the southern province lining up a move for Ireland international Tiernan O’Halloran according to a report in The Irish Times this evening.
O’Halloran is out of contract at the end of the season, and while Joe Schmidt would prefer he stay and have an even spread at 15 across the provinces, Munster are still pursuing their man.
The Connacht fullback is also said to be a target for Ulster with Charles Piutau set to depart for Bristol next season. Either way it looks like Connacht will have a battle on their hands if they’re going to retain him.
There is some good news for Connacht fans however, with the report also claiming Kieran Marmion will stay at the western province, despite interest from Bristol and Saracens.
