Munster are lining up a sensational swoop to bring Tadhg Beirne back to Ireland.
The former Leinster lock starred for Scarlets last season as they triumphed over Munster in the PRO12 final. The Limerick Leader are reporting that Munster and the IRFU are hoping to bolster their second row options by bringing 24-year-old Kildare native Beirne to the province for 2018/2019.
A former Irish U20 international, Beirne won a British & Irish Cup medal with Leinster in 2013. The lock, who came through the Leinster academy, made a handful of senior appearances for the province before signing for Scarlets in the summer of 2016.
His signing would be seen as a massive coup for Munster and a huge boost for Ireland and their second-row department.
