On fire.
Munster made history last night with their bonus-point win over Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun in the Guinness PRO14.
The win was Munster’s sixth-in-a-row this season, maintaining a 100% record, and their best-ever start to a campaign – something that has fans really excited for the new European campaign where the southern province will face Clermon and Harlequins in the pool stages.
Munster currently sit top of Conference B on 27 points, 11 points ahead of second-placed Scarlets with a game in hand, having racked up three bonus-points along the way.
Amazingly they’re only third when it comes to Irish provinces and starts to the season. Leinster are currently top of Conference A on a staggering 35 points having won all seven of their games with bonus-points.
Ulster meanwhile have also racked up seven wins from seven, but trail Leinster by two points having racked up 5 bonus points along the way. Connacht are third in Conference B with three wins from five this season.
Let’s hope some of the form at domestic level starts rubbing off on the national side.
Either way, this early season form should pay dividend for all four provinces when the Champions Cup starts up again next month.
