Point to prove.
World Cup-winning Springboks lock RG Snyman will be a Munster player next season, with the South Africa second-row signing a new two-year deal with the southern province.
Snyman’s time at Munster has been destroyed by injury with the 26-year-old suffering season-ending knee injuries in both of his two seasons at the Irish side. But Munster have decided to show faith in Snyman, who will certainly have a point to prove when he returns.
Props Stephen Archer, Roman Salanoa, Liam O’Connor, and hooker Scott Buckley have also committed their futures to Munster Rugby. These new deals come in addition to the already confirmed 13 contract extensions, including Conor Murray’s IRFU deal.
There is still no sign of a deal for center Damian de Allende however, with the world-class midfielder expected to leave the province, and former All Blacks centre Malakai Fekitoa being lined up to replace him.
