Down south.
France and Toulon centre Mathieu Bastareaud could be set for a sensational move down south to play Super Rugby next year.
French newspaper Midi Olympique have revealed the powerful centre has a break clause in his contract with Toulon that would allow him to move to a club outside Europe following the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The report suggests he may move to the Top League in Japan, but that he’s also attracted interest from Super Rugby franchises the Sunwolves and the South African-based Stormers.
No doubt this will be an interesting story in the coming weeks and months…
