Back in action.
Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has been handed a massive fitness boost ahead of next week’s Six Nations opener with old rivals England at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Fullback Rob Kearney has made a full recovery from his injury and has been named as Leinster captain for their PRO14 clash with the Scarlets at the RDS Arena tomorrow evening.
The experienced fifteen is an integral member of Schmidt’s starting team, and will no doubt play a key role in the England game should he get through the weekend unscathed.
It’s a huge boost for Schmidt who has lost the services of the likes of Iain Henderson, Tadhg Beirne and Luke McGrath for the England game.
