What a day.
It’s difficult to describe the emotion that was in the air yesterday in Thomond Park. Munster put on a performance of the likes we haven’t seen in many years.
It was a day filled with both sadness and pride, that will live long in the memory of Munster. It was a performance and an atmosphere befitting of the great man Anthony Foley was.
The scenes that ensued following the final whistle were as special as the game itself with rousing renditions of the Fields of Athenry and Stand Up & Fight ringing out in Thomond Park. The spine-tingling moment was captured on RTE Radio 1. Have a listen below.
