Lions playmaker Dan Biggar is set to quit Welsh Rugby and the PRO12 in favour of a move to England at the end of the current season in a shock move.
The Ospreys ten is under a national dual contract that runs until next May, but is poised to sign a deal with Northampton Saints according to WalesOnline.
Northampton have reportedly been monitoring his position for some time and are said to be willing to back up their interest with an offer that the outhalf will be unable to refuse.
The WRU and the Ospreys would apparently stand little hope of matching the deal.
