2021.
The British and Irish Lions will name their head coach for the 2021 tour of South Africa on Wednesday – with Warren Gatland set for the top role for a third successive tour.
Gatland led the Lions to a series victory over Australia in 2013 before picking up a Test win against the All Blacks on the way to a series draw most recently in 2017.
The New Zealander is set to step down as Wales boss after the Rugby World Cup in Japan this year after a hugely successful spell and is expected to take a break from the game before getting back into it with the Lions sometime in 2020.
The Lions’ last series victory against the Springboks came in 1997, under Sir Ian McGeechan, when the host nation were world champions.
