On the move.
Leinster hooker Bryan Byrne has joined Premiership fliers Bristol Bears on a short-term loan deal.
The Leinster hooker, who has made 47 appearances for the Irish province, joins the club next week.
Byrne will has been brought in after it was confirmed that Harry Thacker (neck) will be sidelined for up to three months.
Director of Rugby Pat Lam said:
“Following confirmation of Harry’s long-term injury, we needed to bring in cover for the hooker position.
“We’re grateful to Leo Cullen and the IRFU for supporting this move and for their co-operation. Like all Leinster players, Bryan has proven quality and experience at the highest level of the domestic game.”
