What now for Leigh Halfpenny?
Lions and Wales fullback Leigh Halfpenny is running out of options pretty quickly, with Bath the latest club to state they are not interested in his services ahead of the new season.
The talented placekicker has already been rejected by Cardiff Blues and the Scarlets due to his high wages, with Dai Young’s Wasps also stating they are no longer interested in a deal for the Welshman.
“We haven’t spoken to him at all,” Bath boss Todd Blackadder said in the Bath Chronicle.
“We’re not in that space. There’s no truth to those links at all.”
This latest setback leaves Halfpenny very short of options. A potential move to another French club could be his only option, or even a move to Leicester who recently missed out on Damien McKenzie.
