Plummeting.
The latest World Rugby Rankings are out following the conclusion of the 2022 Six Nations Championship – and you might want to look away if you’re a Welsh fan.
Grand Slam champions France have climbed up to second in the table, overtaking the All Blacks and are now set for their longest run at number two in the rankings having last occupied the position for one week only back in October 2007.
Les Bleus have never been at number one but are now only 1.72 points behind South Africa at the top of the rankings.
Meanwhile, Wales’ shock defeat to Italy sees them plummet down to ninth in the rankings, while Ireland are now only a fraction of a point from overtaking New Zealand.
