Joe Schmidt Has Responded To Reports Of Him Being Linked To England Job

You might have seen the reports this morning from Midi Olympique linking Joe Schmidt to the England job.

Most people of course presumed the rumours to be absolute nonsense. Joe Schmidt has today responded to the reports as as expected we were correct.

I don’t know where that’s come from. I’m a fan of Stuart Lancaster and what he’s trying to build there.

If we had lost last weekend, it could be someone else being propositioned for my job. Unfortunately, it is one of the things about coaching but I think Stuart is a first-class character.

I certainly won’t be going after his job.
