Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt will face the media this afternoon in a change to his usual schedule following Saturday’s record defeat to England at Twickenham.

On the week of a game the Ireland boss usually only appears for the Thursday team announcement press conference, opting to send out another member of his backroom team earlier in the week.

But with the Ireland players increasing their workload this week, it seems Schmidt is doing the same as he looks to explain his side’s complete capitulation at the hands of England on Saturday.

This should be an interesting one. We look forward to seeing what he has to say.
