Ulster Rugby have made it a bit of a regular annual gag to get some of their top players to pull of some hilarious prank phone calls in a bid to boost season ticket sales.
And they’ve had some hilarious results over the years to be fair, including an excellent call to former head coach Les Kiss that had the Australia completely fooled.
This year Jacob Stockdale and Will Addison decided to give former Ulster winger Tommy Bowe a call and the results were once again brilliant. Stockdale posed as Ulster Rugby CEO Johnny Petrie and first pretended to offer Bowe a coaching deal with the province – and a fat contract to go with it.
What ensued was an awkward Bowe completely shooting down the prospect of coaching at his former province, before even more awkwardly turning down an offer to work for Ulster Rugby TV.
Have a listen below.
As they spent a couple of hours thanking Season Ticket holders for their support, they also found time to prank call @TommyBowe… 🙊
