Well played Ireland.
Ireland took the fight to France tonight before the game had even started with simple, but effective statement of intent.
The two nations are currently locked in a three-way battle to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup along with South Africa, and when France came out a couple of weeks back with #France2023 on their jerseys, Ireland needed to respond.
We suggested they hit them back with a hashtag of their own, and it seems Ireland listened tonight.
There was also a large display next to the halfway line which we have seen before during Ireland’s November Internationals. Here’s hoping Ireland can repeat today’s heroics and beat France in the race to host rugby’s premier tournament in 2023.
