Let the speculation begin.
Irish Rugby has confirmed that Joe Schmidt will name his Six Nations squad on Sunday. Wales, Scotland, France and Italy have all named their squads for the tournament next month, with Eddie Jones set to name his on Friday.
Schmidt has no fresh injury concerns, and will be hoping that remains the same after this weekend’s round of Champions Cup action. All four province’s will be in action, with Munster, Leinster Connacht all still needing wins to guarantee home quarters, and qualification on Connacht’s instance.
With this, we should see the entire Irish roster in action over the course of the weekend, unless Les Kiss decided to rest some of his talent, given their slim chance of qualification for the knockout stages.
For many players this weekend, quarter final spots in the Champions Cup won’t just be on the line, Six Nations spots will too.
