Ireland’s Worst Iain Henderson Fears Confirmed

hend

Ireland’s bid for a third consecutive Six Nations title has taken another serious blow with confirmation that Iain Henderson faces as much six months on the sidelines.

The Ulster forward suffered a hamstring tear during the win over Edinburgh last week. Ulster coach Les Kiss confirmed today that Henderson’s prospects for the rest of the season do not look good.

The type of injury historically has been up to six months. It doesn’t look good in terms of the Six Nations.

Ireland will be without Peter O’Mahony, Tommy Bowe and Iain Henderson. Add in Paul O’Connell’s retirement and Ireland face a huge uphill battle to retain their crown for an unprecedented third time.
