Ireland Squad Named For Warm-Up Game Against Italy

The road to Japan…

The Ireland squad today enter their first match week and have returned to their usual Maynooth training base after completing five tough weeks of pre-season training as World Cup preparations intensify.

To date the squad has completed two training weeks at Carton House, a week at Connacht Rugby’s base in Galway, a week in UL at Munster’s training base and week at the IRFU’s new High Performance Centre in west Dublin along with two regeneration weeks in between.Ahead of Saturday’s game, Ireland have named a 43-man squad. Ultan Dillane and Rory Scannell have returned to their provincial bases.
