Joe Schmidt’s men are coming.
Ireland’s heroics yesterday against England are set to give them a significant boost in the World Rankings when they are released tomorrow.
The win edges them even further out in second position, with Ireland and England set to gain and lose 1.27 points respectively. This will give Ireland a lead over England over nearly three points.
More importantly it bridges the gap on New Zealand. Ireland are now less than five points behind the World Champions. If Ireland can get a series win in Australia this summer, they could be right on the All Blacks’ heels when they meet in Dublin this November.
What an exciting time for Irish Rugby.
