On the move.
Ireland U20 international Billy Scannell has signed for French PRO D2 side Biarritz, after spending a year in Munster’s sub-academy.
Scannell, brother of senior Ireland internationals and Munster regulars Niall and Rory, signs for the French side on a two-year academy contract, according to a report in The42.
The 19-year-old is set to train full-time with the Pro D2 outfit’s senior squad, while initially playing games for the club’s espoirs [U23] team.
The hooker joins Dave O’Callaghan and James Hart who have also signed for the former Heineken Cup finalists, having been released by Munster at the end of last season.
