It’s been a difficult few months for all of us with most of us having to adapt to a completely different way of life as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
For athletes, lockdown meant they were unable to get out on a pitch with their teammates for several months, limiting them to individual work at home.
We’ve already seen how Johnny Sexton and Sean O’Brien have gotten into serious shape during the break and now it’s Bundee Aki’s turn with the Ireland centre packing on some serious muscle over the last few months.
In a post to Instagram, Aki said he’s excited to finally get back playing with Connacht and Ireland’s schedule packed for the next few months and it’s clear to see he’s been hitting the gym.
It’s going to be interesting to see how much of a difference the lockdown will have on players when the season restarts with most using the time to get themselves into incredible shape.
