Ireland Call Up Two Players As “Specialist Cover” Following A Number Of Injuries

Reinforcements.

Ireland have called up Ulster’s John Cooney and Leinster’s Harry Byrne as “specialist cover” to their squad for the Guinness Six Nations.

Andy Farrell has been hit hard with injury this week with Johnny Sexton and Conor Murray both set to miss tomorrow’s round 2 clash with France in Dublin.

A very special British & Irish Lions House of Rugby show – fronted by Sean O'Brien and Alex Goode – is available now and will run for the duration of the tour. Follow and subscribe to it HERE

The men in green will also be without James Ryan through injury and Peter O’Mahony, who received a three-game ban this week following his red card against Wales.

Billy Burns and Jamison Gibson-Park start at halfback tomorrow with Ross Byrne and the uncapped Craig Casey providing cover off the bench.
