Celtic Park– the home of Scottish Premiership side Celtic, is in line to host next year’s Guinness PRO14 final.
A report by The42 suggests the iconic stadium could be confirmed as next year’s venue in the coming weeks, as organisers seek to spread the appeal of the competition.
Eight finals have taken place since the play-off system was introduced in 2009-10, with seven of them have taken place in Ireland, with another one due later this month when the Aviva Stadium stages it for the second year in a row.
But it looks like the final will take place in Scotland next year in Celtic’s 60,000 capacity stadium in Parkhead. The report also suggests PRO14 officials hope to eventually bring a final to South Africa, but not before they bring it to Wales and Italy first.
