This is not good for Irish fans.
The Six Nations might no longer be available on terrestrial television in Ireland after Denis Naughten, the Minister for Communications removed it from the list of free-to-air sporting events protected by the government.
TV3 recently acquired the rights to broadcast the event from 2018 to 2021 but according to the Sunday Times, Irish rugby fans could be forced to pay a subscription to watch the tournament from 2022.
