Out.
Lions head coach Warren Gatland has been dealt a huge blow ahead of his squad announcement next week with George North ruled out of the tour with a knee injury.
North has been in excellent form this season, playing at outside centre for Wales making him an excellent candidate to travel with his versatility.
The 29-year-old has traveled on the last two tours, playing a key role in 2013 as the Lions secured a series victory against Australia.
North ruptured his ACL last weekend and looks set to be sidelined for around 6-9 months. His injury may open the door for someone like Garry Ringrose or Keith Earls, depending on where Gatland was hoping to use him.
Sport can be cruel. We all know the risks when we take the field. Unfortunately I ruptured my ACL on Saturday and will need surgery next week. Heartbroken is an understatement. 💔 pic.twitter.com/icNDEmYmHE
