Such bad timing.
In-form Ireland and Leinster back-row forward Rhys Ruddock faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, after picking up a Grade 3 hamstring tear over the weekend while on Champions Cup duty.
Ruddock, who captained Ireland over the summer, has been in the form of his life, with the injury coming at the worst possible time. He picked up the injury in Leinster’s impressive away win over Exeter on Sunday evening.
It looks like he will certainly miss the rest of Leinster’s Champions Cup games and the 2018 RBS Six Nations. He may even miss the entire season, with teammate James Ryan suffering a similar fate last season.
Get well soon Rhys. Such a shame.
