Human carrying machine.
Another memorable weekend for Irish Rugby in the Champions Cup saw all three provinces win their pool games against English opposition, each completing a famous home and away double over the last couple of weeks.
Ulster always looked in control against Harlequins, while Leinster had to come from behind to defeat Exeter at the Aviva. Some poor discipline by Leicester meant Munster came away with a win from Welford Road for the first time in 11 years.
A number of players impressed across the two rounds, but once it’s CJ Stander who leads the way in terms of carries, with a whopping 71 carries after four games, averaging almost 18 a game.
The Munster and Ireland back-row has returned to form in recent weeks, and is joined in the top 5 by the likes of Leinster’s Jack Conan and Ulster’s Charles Piutau.
