Leicester Tigers revealed this week that England playmaker George Ford will be returning to Welford Road this summer.
The talented outhalf makes the switch with one-year remaining on his contract, and the move will see Freddie Burns move in the opposite direction.
Ford has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave with 12 months remaining on his contract, providing his contract is bought out and a transfer fee is paid.
It’s now been revealed that the fee in involved was £500,000- a new record transfer fee for a player moving between two British clubs.
