Wanted man.
Toulon are set to move quickly following on from the news that Springbok back-row Duane Vermeulen is set to return home to South Africa at the end of the current season with the Stormers.
The French giants are lining All Blacks legend Jerome Kaino as a replacement according to reports in France. Kaino has been in and out of the All Blacks squad as of late, with the 34-year-old reportedly keen on cashing in on what will likely be his last contract.
It’s unlikely at this stage of his career that Kaino will be brought to Japan for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, so a move to Toulon would make perfect sense. A move would see him once again link-up with Ma’a Nonu, with whom he won two World Cups with.
Not a bad replacement if you ask us,
