Done deal.
Three-time European champions Toulon have confirmed the signing of Ireland international second-row Quinn Roux from Connacht.
Roux’s surprise exit from Connacht was announced in May, with the 30-year-old moving on following nine seasons in Ireland, where he represented his adopted nation on 16 occasions, scoring three tries.
Connacht have since made it clear that the province wanted to retain Roux’s services, but couldn’t come to an agreement with the player. And it seems the riches of France were too good to turn down.
Toulon, who already have giant Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth on their books, announced Roux’s signature earlier today, with the player signing a two-year deal with the Top 14 side.
