Former Lions & Wales star Lee Byrne caused a bit of a stir this week with a certain omission.
The fullback was presenting at an office opening and posted an image to Twitter that caught Brian O’Driscoll’s attention. Byrne had an image of himself, with his bio reading “former Wales & British Lions international.”
O’Driscoll, a four times tourist and former Lions captain obviously didn’t take too kindly to Byrne omitting the word `Irish’ from the British & Irish Lions and rightfully, called the former Ospreys and Clermont man out.
Another Twitter user then pointed out that his bio also read ‘British Lions,” but Byrne is now seems has redeemed himself.
His new Twitter bio now reads: “Former Wales and B&I Lions, of Irish ancestry.” Fair play.
