Talk about bad luck.
Saracens have today confirmed that England number eight Billy Vunipola has fractured his arm.
Vunipola injured his arm in yesterday’s European Champions Cup match against the Ospreys, with an x-ray today confirming that he has indeed sustained a fracture.
“Billy is due to see a specialist later this week, when a timeframe for recovery may be defined,” said a Saracens spokesman.
“But until that time Saracens will make no further comment. Saracens will issue a further statement once Billy has seen a specialist.”
It’s the latest in a long list of injuries for Vunipola over the last couple of seasons. He missed almost the entire Six Nations last year and was forced to pull out of last summer’s Lions tour of New Zealand.
