“Come on, Italy.”
English Lions Tom Curry, Jamie George and Owen Farrell have sent their best wishes to their fellow countrymen in the Euros final against Italy this evening – but one of their teammates is having none of it.
While the English trio have all wished the football lads the very best of luck as they look to win the competition for the first time in their history – proud Scotsman, Finn Russell will be supporting Italy this evening!
Elliot Daly told us last week that the English lads have convinced Stuart Hogg to cheer on the Three Lions in the competition following Scotland’s exit but Russell has been a harder sell.
“I think everyone was supporting England, to be fair – which was good. Some of the Scottish lads were sitting on the fence – Finn Russell was sitting on the fence – but I think we persuaded Hoggy to be an Englishman for a bit.” Daly said.
And Russell still hasn’t been convinced, judging by this clip posted to social media by the Lions this morning.
Wishing @England good luck for today’s #EURO2020 Final 💪
Go and bring ⚽️ home! 🙌
