High praise from the England boss.
Eddie Jones has praised Bath winger Anthony Watson for his performances on this summer’s Lions tour. Watson faced some stiff competition heading into the tour, but excelled in the Test series, starting all three games.
The England star impressed at both fullback and on the wing, keeping the likes of George North out of the Test team. Jones says he finished the tour as one of the best wingers on show.
“Anthony Watson was the standout.” Jones said.
“He went there as a borderline starting member, and finished as one of the best wingers on the tour.”
“He took a massive step forward.”
