The butcher.
Back in May Eddie Jones labelled his England captain Dylan Hartley “the butcher of Rotorua” and maintains he can lead the Red Rose to the 2019 Rugby World Cup providing he stays hungry and keeps improving his game.
After naming a 33-man England training squad this morning ahead of the November internationals, Jones once again made it clear that Hartley would remain as captain, after leaving a number of big names out including Lions James Haskell, Jonathan Joseph and Kyle Sinckler.
When asked by Sky Sports as to why he calls Hartley ‘the butcher’ his response was brilliant.
“He looks like a butcher don’t you reckon?” Jones said
“When you go down to your local butcher shop, you can see Dylan behind there.”
“What would you like madam? Six lamb chops, here you go!”
The more you think about it, the more you see it. Brilliant from Jones.
