Eddie Jones Could Be Without Another One Of His Star Players For The Six Nations

Eddie Jones could be without Chris Robshaw for the Six Nations.

The Harlequins star has gone for a scan on his injured shoulder and will know the results next Monday. Robshaw missed his side’s clash against Gloucester back on December 27, then played against Worcester days later where his shoulder flared up once more.

The 30 year old back-row forward was a limited participant in England’s training camp in Brighton and following a scan is now waiting for the verdict of a specialist to see whether he requires an operation.

Robshaw says his shoulder feels fine in everyday life, but whether he’ll be ready to go on a rugby pitch, remains to be seen.

“I’m seeing a specialist on Monday and will know a bit more after that,” Robshaw told Press Association Sport.

“It’s all up in the air at the moment and it’s hard to know exactly where I stand. Once we get to Monday, we’ll know the position we’re in.

“It feels fine in everyday life but rugby isn’t everyday life, that’s the thing. It’s got to be ready for rugby.

“We’ll see if it settles down a bit before Monday and then take it from there and make a decision.”

England are already set to be without Billy and Mako Vunipola for the opening game of the Six Nations against France at the very least, while lock George Kruis is also a concern.
