Big bucks.
Name something bigger than Eben Etzebeth’s arms? His wage at Toulon when the monster lock joins the French giants after the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
According to French publication, Minute Sports Rugby, the 26-year-old could earn in excess of €1 million (about R17 million) a year at Toulon, making him the highest paid Springbok in history.
Etzebeth’s signing was announced as part of a huge double deal that sees the South African lock join Toulon on a two-year deal, along with All Blacks winger Nehe Milner-Skudder on a three-year deal.
