Dan Carter f*cked up and he knows it.
All Blacks and Racing 92 star Dan Carter was caught drink driving this week in Paris. The legendary playmaker was pulled over by police for speeding and found to be two-times over the legal limit.
The former World Player of the Year admitted to the offence shortly after on social media, apologising for his actions and stating there is no excuse for it. He said he made a massive error of judgement and let his club down. Carter added that he’s glad no one was hurt and will not let the court process run its course and face the consequences.
Now in a poignant message on his social media accounts, Carter has posted a message after he arrived back home in New Zealand, in what was supposed to pre-planned holiday.
Carter says seeing his family “puts fresh perspective on just how big a mistake I made.”
