Richard Cockerill has been announced as the new head coach of PRO12 side Edinburgh.

The Englishman has been working in an advisory role with Toulon since leaving the Tigers and will continue to do so until the end of the season alongside Mike Ford.
Premiership side Worcester Warriors were also said to have been interested in Cockerill, but as reported by The Rugby Paper yesterday, were hesitant in making a decision until their future was secured, allowing Edinburgh to swoop in.
