Not happy.
Ireland may have gotten the bonus-point win over Italy on Sunday they needed to stay in the hunt for the Six Nations – but the men in green will be far from happy with their overall performance.
The reigning champions have looked completely off the mark so far in this year’s Six Nations, losing at home to England in round one before a very average performance against Scotland.
Sunday’s game has a lot of people asking questions and makes Ireland’s last two games against France and Wales all the more crucial as Schmidt looks to sort out a squad that looks visibly frustrated with their performances.
World Player of the Year Johnny Sexton has been a driving force for Ireland for many years now, but even he has struggled at times. His backline haven’t done him too many favours either to be honest.
Check this clip out of Sexton clearly voicing his frustration after a Jacob Stockdale failed to gather one of his passes. Ireland need thinks to start clicking big time before things get any worse.
