The pool stages are over and we know know who our quarter finalists are.
The Champions Cup pools stages came to a close this weekend, with the quarter final match-ups now decided. 6 of the 8 teams in the knockout stages have previously won the tournament, leaving us with some very exciting match-ups.
Munster and Leinster both did enough this past weekend to secure home quarter final berths, with the Irish provinces hosting Toulouse and Wasps respectively.
The Glasgow Warriors also made it through, proving the PRO12 can still compete, but face the daunting task of heading to Allianz Park to take on current holders Saracens.
Brian O’Driscoll and Lawrence Dallaglio were in studio with BT following Wasps bonus-point win over Zebre that sets them up with Leo Cullen’s men, and revealed who they think will hoist the famous trophy this season. Will it be Munster or Leinster? Apparently not according to the legendary duo.
Dallaglio: “I’ll still go with Clermont, it could be their year this year.”
O’Driscoll: “I think Clermont too.”
Do you agree? Our money is on Munster and Saracens making it through their quarter finals, and the winner of their game going all the way.
